Ultra-affordable homes are developed in communities for individuals who are able to graduate from informal housing, but do not have access to serviced land. They are also suitable for youths. They consist of one room with a kitchenette (studio style), or two rooms. Features include plans for expansion, foundations for expansion (depending on Local Authority regulations) and may include solar (including a solar fridge). Projects an be initiated by employers.
